## Biography

**Lord Rochester**, the stage name of **Russ Wilkins** — known from bands such as **The Pop Rivets, The Milkshakes, Gruff Men, Len Bright Combo** and **The Wildebeests** — returns with his unmistakable brand of stripped-down, rhythm-driven rock ’n’ roll.

Drawing inspiration from the maraca-powered shuffle of artists like **Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry** and **Jimmy Reed**, Lord Rochester embraces the raw simplicity of sound and song, delivering a gritty, lo-fi take on rock ’n’ roll that stays close to its roots.

As **Glasgow Night Out** once described it: _“perfectly pitched rock ’n’ roll at its purest, unadulterated, tartan sports jacket wearing, lo-fi, fiddletastic best.”_

The band makes a **welcome return to BRBC** after recent tours across **Australia, New Zealand, Germany and Spain**, and following the release of their third album, **“Mess Around.”**

The evening will open with **Midnight Mary**, the **BRBC house band**.
