## Biography

M'BASSY is a jazz quartet who thrive on the edge of chaos and beauty. Based in the Netherlands, this award-winning international group blends explosive energy with musical sensitivity, creating new music which is melodic and volatile. On stage, they are dynamic, wild and fun, mixing melodic hooks with avant-garde jazz techniques and infectious grooves. But their true goal lies elsewhere: to evoke deep emotions about music and life, which is what their songs are all about.

The quartet has recorded an EP of original music, a 15-minute journey with two sides: "zoetermeeR" and "don't worry about it" are fast-paced pieces that challenge the listener to pay close attention to their quick changes and humorous interjections. "Afterlife Afterparty" and "ETCETERA" showcase the melodic and harmonic taste of the quartet. These four tracks make for an exciting debut set to release at the end of 2026.

In July 2026, they were selected among three finalists to compete at the 13th Talavera Jazz Festival, securing first place (under the name MK Quartet).
