## Biography

Artie Shaw was one of the great masters of the clarinet, a key figure of the swing era, with a crystal-clear, refined sound of unrivalled elegance. His virtuoso and aristocratic phrasing, often hailed as that of the most accomplished clarinettist of his time, made him one of the most influential musicians in the history of jazz and an absolute benchmark for his instrument.

Anton Kerkhof is one of the few Belgian jazz musicians to have made the clarinet his instrument of choice, steering clear of the more well-trodden paths of the saxophone.
