## Biography

We are delighted to welcome this exceptional trio to the stage! Officially formed in 2022, this formidable trio (who have already made a splash with their 2024 album _\*Wanted\*_) are here to present the repertoire from their brand-new album: _\*The Magician in You\*_, freshly released in 2025 on the prestigious Fresh Sound label.

Born in 1990 in Bourges into a family of musicians, Étienne Déconfin was immersed from a very young age in a musical world of rare intensity. Although he began with classical piano at the age of just five, the call of freedom and improvisation drew him towards jazz at the age of 13. Deeply influenced by the lyricism and energy of giants such as Bill Evans, Michel Petrucciani, Keith Jarrett, John Coltrane and McCoy Tyner, he has forged a strong and captivating musical identity.

Having become a key figure on the Parisian and international scenes since 2010, the pianist has undertaken numerous high-profile collaborations and tours across the globe. His impressive CV speaks for itself: he has crossed swords on stage and in the studio with heavyweights such as Marcus Miller, Ari Hoenig, Jeremy Pelt, Gaël Horellou, Géraud Portal, Justin Brown and Olivier Temime.

Today, he expresses himself to the full, backed by the masterful rhythm section of Viktor Nyberg on double bass and Antoine Paganotti on drums. With obvious chemistry, a formidable swing and a raw, visceral sensitivity: get ready for a spellbinding musical journey, led by one of the most exciting trios on the current jazz scene.
