## Biography

A jewel of Belgian jazz and one of Europe’s greatest trumpeters, Jean-Paul Estievenart reunites with his iconic trio, with whom he recorded the highly acclaimed _\*Wanted\*_ (2013) and _\*Behind Darkness\*_ (2016).

With over 50 albums to his name as a sideman and a playing style of rare virtuosity, this highly sought-after musician is now taking a more low-key approach as a bandleader. Suffice to say that a concert by this trio is a rare treat.

Alongside him is an exceptional rhythm section: **Antoine Pierre** on drums and **Sam Gerstmans** on double bass. An ideal playground for the trumpet to express itself without a safety net.

An unmissable event for lovers of contemporary jazz.
