## Biography

Active since the mid-1980s, **Phil Abraham** is one of the leading ambassadors of **Belgian jazz** and without question the most prominent figure of the **trombone** in Belgium.

Over the course of an impressive career, he has collaborated with major artists such as **Michel Petrucciani**, **Clark Terry**, **Maria Schneider**, and **Art Farmer**, as well as performing with the orchestras of **Charles Aznavour** and **Claude Nougaro** — not to mention **Toots Thielemans**, of course. This Sunday, we welcome a true **national heavyweight**.

For this concert, he is joined by two long-time musical partners with equally impressive résumés, along with the young and highly promising Ukrainian pianist **Pavlo Cherniavskyi**, a familiar face at our jam sessions.
