Als er één iconische en eigenzinnige figuur is in de geschiedenis van de jazz, dan is het wel de geniale pianist en componist Thelonious Monk.  
Saxofonist Vincent Thekal en de al even eigenzinnige pianist Fabian Fiorini brengen al jaren zijn meesterwerken tot leven.
