For our mini festival dedicated to the harmonica and to Toots, the man who gave the instrument its worldwide acclaim, we are delighted to place our trust in the next generation of Belgian harmonica players: the young Belgian talent Olivier Vander Bauwede. Impressive in his musicality, sensitivity and mastery, he now stands as one of the rare harmonicists capable of approaching this legacy with accuracy, personality and depth. Belgium has long hoped to see the emergence of a successor worthy of such a monument — and Olivier Vander Bauwede may well be one of those who carry that promise.
