Their fascination with 1920s jazz initially led them to share the streets and stages with other musicians driven by the same passion. It was from these encounters that a unique band was born: The Blue Mockingbirds.
The band’s name pays tribute to one of America’s most musical birds, famous for its ability to mimic the songs of many other species. It’s a fitting reference: the Blue Mockingbirds love to explore and reinterpret this early jazz repertoire, without ever simply reproducing it identically.
Taking century-old melodies as their starting point, the band composes, rearranges and shapes the material with great flair, drawing inspiration from the joyful spirit of New Orleans jazz.
