Tonight sees two leading figures on the European jazz scene come together to celebrate the release not of one, but of two albums released this year: *Congregation* and *Mild Breeze with Hints of Love Lost*. The Slovenian bassist is incredibly prolific and has taken part in an impressive number of projects and recordings; his solid technique and distinctive voice make him a leading figure in contemporary double bass playing. He is teaming up with long-standing musical collaborators and has invited pianist Bram De Looze, one of the most gifted artists of his generation, recognised as such by anyone who has seen him lay his hands on the ivory keys. An evening of contemporary jazz of the very, very highest calibre – not to be missed.
