In 2022, Guillaume Muschalle’s first solo album, ‘Shared Stories’, was released, featuring two distinguished guest artists: Philip Catherine and Peter Hertmans. An important detail: the entire album was recorded exclusively on the magnificent handmade instruments of master luthier Jacky Walraet, recorded in Peter Hertmans’ studio and mixed by him. Hence the apt title, ‘Shared Stories’.
Since then, Guillaume and Peter have given numerous concerts as a duo, both in Belgium and France, and a second album is already in the pipeline — this time entirely as a duo, still featuring Jacky’s guitars and recorded in his studio. New to the programme: this time, the focus is on reinterpretations of standards and other well-known compositions.
