A singer of surreal virtuosity, the French artist Camille Bertault is a must-listen for fans of vocal jazz. Her 2023 Victoire du Jazz award crowns an already impressive career that has taken her from Paris to New York. She first came to the attention of the wider public on YouTube thanks to her vocal rendition of ‘Giant Steps’ (one of the most virtuosic solos in jazz history), performed with breathtaking mastery, and has since released a string of albums. She has won over critics in both France and the United States, where the prestigious New York-based label Sunnyside offered her the chance to record her debut album exactly ten years ago. It is a true star of European jazz whom we have the immense pleasure and honour of welcoming to our intimate venue. You won’t want to miss this!
